Scuba Diving & Snorkeling

Las Catalinas Islands are home to some of the Best Coastal Diving in Costa Rica with a fantastic variety of marine life. With more than 12 Great Dive Sites, if you are planning to dive during your visit to Costa Rica, Las Catalinas has to be on your list of places to dive. The Islands are famous for the Giant Pacific Manta Ray sightings which are typically seen over the winter months of December to May.
Bull Shark Diving at Bat Islands is also a must do if you are an avid diver. The Bull Shark dive is a seasonal experience available from May to October. You can also see Giant Manta and Humpback Whales.
The Islands are also home to White Tip Reef Sharks, Eagle Rays, Devil Rays, Cow Nose Rays, Turtles, Dolphins, Moray Eels, Puffer Fish, Giant Schools of Jacks and Grunts. Over the months of August and September the Humpback Whales come inshore of the Islands to Calf and can be seen frequently close to the dive boats and divers are treated to whale-song almost everyday during this season.
Las Catalinas Dive Sites are Suitable for All Levels of Diver & Snorkeler. Non Divers can also take part in a Half Day Course and Scuba Dive at Las Catalinas.

Fishing

Fishing in Costa Rica is Excellent All Year Long. Most companies Specialize in Offshore Bill Fishing such as Marlin (Blue, Black, Stripe) Sailfish, Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Wahoo. Companies in our area fish the Flamingo, Tamarindo, Conchal, and Potrero regions year round.
The quality of Fishing here varies with prevailing conditions. A seasonal weather change for the better, kicks in around December and it is common to release several Sailfish and even a Marlin or two in a single day. There are also Dorado, Yellowfin Tuna, Wahoo, Roosterfish, a variety of Snapper, Grouper, Rainbow Runners, Mackerel and much more.
Fishing Tours here are usually categorized as Inshore Half Day or Offshore Full Day and depart from Flamingo Marina.
White Water Tubing & Rafting

In the Introductory Surf Lesson you will Learn the Basics of Surfing such as Standing, Paddling, Turning, Tides as well as Ocean Awareness and Surf Ethics.
Surfing is all about having a Good Time. Not only will you learn to surf, but you’ll have a blast doing it. On offer are Private Lessons as well as Group Lessons for Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced.

If you are a Paddle Board Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced, we have an SUP Tour or SUP Rental for you. There are some great beaches to learn Paddle Surf in Guanacaste and there are great Flat Water Paddle options too in Rivers, Estuaries and sheltered beach areas.
The Qualified Instructors will teach you everything you need to know, from safety and etiquette to flatwater paddling and wave surfing techniques. If you are already proficient in Stand Up Paddle then Rent a Board and find your own adventure.
